Most installers started in solar and bolted on a battery once California made one essential for the math. We started from the whole home: solar, battery, electrical panel, and software designed as one system, and sized for the EV charger and heat pump you’ll add next. So you get it done right the first time.
Every design decision is made to lower your cost over the long run.
Same upfront price as the typical Bay Area quote. Roughly double the value over the long run.

No PPAs, no monthly payments. One designer runs the project end to end and signs off on the install, not a salesperson who hands you to a subcontractor. Most projects pay back in 5 to 12 years, faster the more power your home uses.

No. Our own licensed crews design, install, and sign off on every system, and the designer who scopes your project is the one who runs it. Potrero is a licensed California electrical contractor, CSLB number 1147463.
Under NEM 3.0, PG&E pays very little for the solar you export during the day, then charges peak rates at night. A battery lets you use your own power in the evening, which is what makes the system pencil for most Bay Area homes.
Read: Is solar still worth it under NEM 3.0? (opens in a new tab)Yes. That is the point of designing around the battery. When PG&E goes down, your home runs on stored solar and recharges by day, so an outage can last days, not hours. We size the battery and smart panel to back up the circuits that matter to you.
How backup works during an outage (opens in a new tab)Yes. Send it over and a designer will give you an honest second opinion on the system, the sizing, and the numbers, with no pressure to switch. If your current quote is the better deal, we will tell you.
The federal residential solar credit changed at the end of 2025, so we design for value that does not depend on it: more production per roof, more of your own power used at night, and a system you can add to over time. We will model the real economics for your home.
